If you are a run-of-the-mill legacy (i.e. your parent went to an Ivy but they are not influential or very wealthy) then that doesn’t carry as much weight as it used to. But if your parent was Vice President, yes, Harvard will accept you. That will be true forever.

I went to law school with her - she was really nice (and smart) and he was really cute (back then, lo these decades ago). I didn't stay in touch with her but I hope she's doing well. Can't have been fun to see her parents' problems be so public.

Off topic a bit, but watching the Hulu Series Candy, the victim's husband was named Alan Gore and they kept referring to him as Al Gore which was kind of funny. Good show by the way.
