I don’t think it’s being “PC.” Most people just don’t know what to do and don’t take that stuff seriously. I do though. Thanks for the reminder to sit at the front of the bus!

Do you ever take metro or ride the bus? I’m a native Washingtonian and this happens so often. Simply put, there are so many mentally ill passengers.

Here's my experience--a man on my bus started arguing with the driver, the situation escalated to a scuffle, and the driver was stabbed with a box cutter. As passengers, we could only call 911. The doors were closed, the driver was unable to open them, and we were trapped. The violent man would have easily turned on any of us if we tried to intervene.
The DA never brought charges.

I don’t know why they won’t release a description of the suspect.
They have video footage and they may know who the suspect is already. Often times, repeat criminals are well known to local police.
