I was just ranting about this to my husband. That is literally her only job. How is is possible that I have lived in the district for almost 25 years (between college and work) and I have not interacted with her or anyone from her office even once? I’m inclined to vote for someone running against her even though I know nothing about any of them.

Tickets for a WH tour is the most basic constituent service you can expect and they failed you. Imagine if you have a situation more serious, like an issue with VA benefits. Does your experience provide confidence that her office is willing and capable of following up and actually helping?

There are people in the green card backlog for over 20 years.

Their kids age out and have to pay for college as international students even if they’ve lived here since they were a baby. It’s a huge problem, but 10 years isn’t the worst.

Wow. I reached to my congressperson’s home (not DC) constituent services. Since I lived in DC at the time, I went with my home state’s congressperson (in my case in WA state)…they were super helpful.
