Gotten many many messages. I said I was undecided in the AG race and Schwalb personally called me and won me over. I was minutes away from voting for Bruce Spiva. This is the new way of canvassing and you can opt out on all of the messages - I think they are legally required to give you an opt out.

I would presume that they have the voter registration file. If you respond ‘STOP’ then they should stop. But i am not sure how to get taken off the lists. You probably would need to contact one of the campaigns to understand how they got your number so that you can deal with the problem at the source.


If you're a Democrat, the DNC keeps the list of numbers. Campaigns can remove numbers, but sometimes they get added back into the list again because the DNC is constantly harvesting contact lists for this sort of thing.

So far, I have not received any texts, so I will count my blessings.

Been wondering the same thing- I have gotten a ton of them and don’t have a DC area code so clearly they got my name and number and associated it with DC somehow. I have found it very annoying
