Op here. Im open to vegetarian/vegan options. I do not eat pork. Ground turkey also tastes funky. And..ground chicken? Dunno.
I always laugh at all the predictable “just use ground turkey” responses. The flavor is underwhelming and the consistency is disgusting.
You have to get the ground turkey with more fat for the texture to be right. I agree with some things it is underwhelming, like burgers. But for things with lots of flavoring, like chili, it can be almost as good. You do have to adjust the seasonings.
Op- if you say what you are making, you might get better responses.
