That doesn’t surprise me, most of the Latino immigrants here are from Central America, and most of the Latino immigrants in California are from Mexico. The cuisines are very different.

I agree with both of these. And empanadas or tamales. Thinking of pupusas, empanadas, tamales, I would go with a White Castle or Weenie Beenie kind of model.

I like any Indian place at serves idli. I’ve lived in a few other cities and can’t get Indian food at all, or if I can, they don’t always have idli.

What DMV restaurant would you want to expand (even if it’s not a chain!) somehow to other areas of the country?

Maybe you live outside dmv now, and miss your favorite?

Or maybe when you travel you wish there was a copy of that restaurant in your vacation/work town?

Maybe you love a place and think it’s deserving to be expanded so other people can love and enjoy it?
