Why top rack? Being vegan isn't an allergy.

It sounds awesome, and I’m not vegan but would love to try it. You’re a very thoughtful host. You might also considering asking the guest ahead of time “Do you like olives? I’m thinking of making something with fava beans” etc.

I was thinking of making two different colors, so I could be really clear -- red has olives, yellow has feta, and serving it with fava beans and artichoke hearts, and roasted potatoes with tomato sauce.

Would that meal appeal to you?

I'd personally swap out the fava beans for quinoa, but that's personal preference. Not sure what the tomato sauce is for?

It's all Greek food, it's a greek way of preparing potatoes that's traditional.

I mean Americans put tomato sauce on our potatoes too. It's just Greek tomato sauce tastes better than ketchup.

Okay. I’ve never heard of putting tomato sauce on potatoes but that doesn’t mean people don’t do it. I’m not familiar with Greek food.

It’s Fava bean season so I think this sounds great

I think the stuffed grape leaves at Trader Joe’s are vegan btw.

I think your menu sounds lovely and I wouldn’t mind the ones with feta cooked next to the ones without.

Ask the person. I'd prefer rice over fave beans. You can also do vegan cheese.

Separate pans and have the vegan one on top rack if possible.

I’d use separate pans, same oven

Same oven not same pan, vegan people are really weird about their food. Serve it family style so they know it’s not touching cheese. Make some vegan without olives too in case they don’t like olives. Make sure you have a few veggies or vegan appetizers or desserts or something else on the side just in case.

Post 05/28/2022 23:17     Subject: If you're vegan . . .

We are having a vegan friend over to eat, and I want to make a nice meal.

I have a recipe for Greek stuffed peppers that I think sounds promising. They can be flavored with either feta or olives, and I was thinking of making some of each as I have a vegan, and some people who don't like olives.

If I cooked this for you, and cooked the peppers in the same baking tray, with feta inside some (so not touching the food you'd eat) would that be OK?

If not, if I did a tray of each, and cooked them in the same oven, would that be OK?
