Rear ending can cause a lot of damage, including bending the frame. Have you had the bumper pulled to see the inside damage? If not, there is most likely more damage unseen and I’d want to be reimbursed for that plus a rental while my car is being fixed.

If the estimate is $3k, there's likely to be a supplement. Or is that amount post-supplement? Either way, it's not your responsibility not to go through their insurance.

I wouldn’t agree to go outside insurance re: the other party responsible.

I once tried to be the “nice” guy & work w/the other driver.

Later I ended up losing money. 😡

We have Mazda 5 touring 2012 94,000 miles works great no other issue. one week back some one rear ended our car .
Other person wants to go without insurance and ready to pay about 3K estimate to fix damage.

We are thinking to trade in with 6 seater SUV (may be Pilot?). but once we trade in we need 6 seater right away. Not sure in current market its possible. I don't see mini hybrid Vans a available. In this market not ready to buy used want to go for new only.

any suggestions?
