I would be nervous, too. I blow dry my hair after a shower, and I’d be worried that would annoy him. It definitely annoys my husband! Plus I look awful without a little makeup. Ugh. I can never leave my husband who seems to like me anyway. I understand, OP, just be confident and be yourself, and if he doesn’t like you, better not to waste any more time with him!

It's normal to be worried about these things in your 20s not your 40s. The beauty of middle age is adopting an I don't give an eff about most things attitude.

This an opportunity to learn more about each other. If he reacts badly eff him, dump him and on to the next.

And stop trying to be perfect or thinking something is wrong if every moment is not filled with chatter. It might be awkward at times and it might not be. Go and be yourself what will be will be

But I bet you care a lot more about this stuff than your boyfriend does, so don't let your worries sidetrack you from having fun and enjoying your trip. We're both in our 40's, divorced, and have been together for 4 months and have been sleeping together. This weekend we're going on our first trip together and I'm nervous.

First, it's a lot of time together- 3.5 hour car ride each way and then together for at least 72 hours.

Second, he is going to see me with no makeup, no hair done, etc. I have never showered in front of him.

Are these normal things to be nervous about? Or do I sounds crazy?
