You people are so precious. I sometimes imagine the DCUM plane crash landing on a deserted island, and the vast majority of you dying in the first 24 hours because you refuse to pee outdoors.

- Another frequent hotel guest who always makes coffee in the room and somehow has survived.

Why would you use a...coffee maker...to clean sex toys??? How would you use it? Pretty sure that was a joke.

I was told by someone who was the corporate head of a fortune 500 hotel company based in Bethesda about how the coffee machines and the cups and tumblers were cleaned by housekeeping. I will never ever use the coffee machine at a hotel or their cups and tumblers. I actually carry my own pluggable travel mug and via coffee sachets.

I don’t see the harm in the K-Cup type, where they drip directly into the cup you’ll be drinking out of.

I’m sure coffee experts will be appalled, but what I drink, even at home, is Delallo instant espresso. I think it’s intended more for baking than drinking. I’ve tried other instant coffee and instant espresso brands, and I haven’t found any I like as well. I’ve found it on the baking aisle at Safeway, but you can also buy it directly from Delallo, which may be cheaper.

They always irrationally creep me out and I never use them while simultaneously dreading the barely-awake trek to the hotel cafe for overpriced subpar coffee.

People have to use these, right? No reason they should creep me out, right?
