We used Dr. Daisy Pascualvaca a few years ago and found her to be very competent with a fair amount of availability. I have no idea if that’s still the case, but I’d definitely check her out.

Any suggestions on a neuropsych evaluation for a college adult? Kid had a new mental illness appear a few months ago, so now need an adult evaluation for ASD, ADHD, and mental health.

I used CNMC with Anne Inge, PhD. I thought she wrote a very comprehensive and professional report. Very pro/supportive of families. In subsequent years, I did a follow up eval with Dr. Vince Culotta in Columbia. He was pro-family/child, too, but report read as though written by a 3rd grader.

We have used mindwell and George mason and had great experience with both

We liked Elizabeth Cutner. Like others mentioned, availability is key.

You’ll probably have a difficult time getting it done this summer, just start calling everybody and see if you can get lucky. Most people have 1-2 year waiting lists but if you’re willing to travel, pay out of pocket and be flexible about scheduling something last minute you might get lucky. If you just need a neuropsych and not any additional diagnostic testing it might be easier

Do some searching on the board there are many threads. It sort of depends on whether you insist on in-network insurance coverage and then also if you have an inkling on what a diagnosis might be.

We used Strixrud and it was fine.

I note . . . you also need to consider who has availability, as you stated.

DD needs a neuropsychological exam to get accommodations at her private school. I’ve just started the process of calling around but would love to hear about any experiences others have had in the DC area. I don’t need insurance to cover it but would like to have it done this summer - but with waiting lists being what they are, my preferred timeframe might be unrealistic.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!
