Avalon’s are awesome. In-laws Avalon is quieter and smoother than my S550 was.

I wouldn’t do a Subaru when you can get a Toyota hybrid. Don’t have a venza but I’m a Toyota girl who loves my hybrid Avalon so much. We never drive my husbands 4runner anymore because everyone loves the Avalon. Why bother when it gets such gas mileage, has a huge truck, and is so smooth and quiet. Even when we head to the mountains, we’re in the Avalon.

The RAV4 had problems on the new IIHS side impact test, particularly for rear passengers. I'd pass if you have kids.

Rear passenger head protection
"Part of the dummy's head moved beyond the rear portion of the side curtain airbag and contacted the C-pillar hard. The head protection is inadequate."

Anyone have a Venza? The current model looks like a Lexus SUV from the outside. Definitely nicer than what they used to look like. We area Toyota family. Have owned Sienna, Corolla, Camry and RAV4. Currently debating between new RAV4 and Venza. Maybe branch out to Subaru.
