OP here. It does. The idiots posting stuff on India wasn’t really what I was expecting. So left field and absurd!

I thought India had monsoon season and was a tropical climate? How would that apply to Arizona, a desert?

Clearly it sucks as Maricopa County is the #1 county for growth this year. All the people moving here must be idiots. They’re fleeing CA.

I traveled to Phoenix and was surprised not to see double flushes on toilets or any concern about washing hotel towels. They live like there isn’t a looming water shortage.

The problem is agriculture coming in and sucking up all the water. But the people keep voting for pro-business politicians who cater to big ag. If the residents run out of water, it will be their own fault.

Yes well some of CA feeds off those lakes and from the Colorado river. California is becoming an ecological disaster too

Look at the work of Paani (Water) foundation in India. This is the poorest of the poor people who have worked hard and using primitive tools for a mere 45 days to change their fortunes forever.

In US, you have all the benefit of being able to source heavy digging machines, money from govt and non-profits, all the knowledge available from universities, educated people - you can absolutely learn to live with climate change and at least solve your water problem permanently.

Arizona is a desert. In the series, they drilled down for a well but there was no water…. Because it’s a *desert*!

Here is how a group of citi-dwellers in Salem (South India) which has perpetual water problem solved its water problem. This is in a 3rd world country with land mafia, corruption at every level and general apathy of people towards civic issues.

I see no reason why this cannot be done in US.

There is a series covering the growing crisis.

Life is unsustainable in AZ in the long term.

This is an overstatement that is typical of people on the left. No it is not unsustainable. Is it harder? Yes. More expensive? Yes. But everything will keep movingh forward there. The big issue is a shift int he weather pattern. This is severe now. But there is no reason to think it will turn around at somepoint. Even with global warming.
