For how much was he approved? Is he permitted to add a spouse to the card?

Because pre-approval doesn’t mean what people think it means. It’s really a marketing term.

My dog Cream was pre-approved for a credit card. Her sister Peaches seemed jealous.

My cat Ruby was pre-approved for a credit card, due to her old lady name, no doubt.

Thank you. Here’s the thing - you can’t seem to access a minor child’s credit score. They won’t accept the request based on her birthday. 2 of the bureaus require parents to MAIL copies of her birth certificate, social, etc. to look in to it. (I’m trying to stop or prevent identity theft - seems crazy to put that stuff in the mail?) Transunion had an electronic form i filled out to look in to it. The bank that sent the letter claims they have no record of sending it, nor of an account or an application in her name. Anyone have other ideas for me?

I'd be conderned that a family member has taken her SSN. I would check and freeze credit.

Check the credit report and freeze her credit immediately.

She got a letter today from a bank (also with The Childrens Place name on it) that says she’s preapproced for a credit card. I have purchased clothes from that store before but only in my name. Should I try to check her credit report? What else? This is making me a little anxious. Thanks.
