This house is a split level or bi-level home disguised to look like… something else. The pictures try to hide it but the reason it looks off is because it’s a weird house. They created the odd facade and added a third floor. There is a similarly odd McMansion around the corner from this house. I think the price is too high. The sellers are comparing this house to some of the charming expanded bungalows and the new co struction houses. This house is a Frankenstein that has some nice features and is probably very liveable. But curb appeal is a problem and people do t like having to go up and down stairs right when they enter.

Oh my. One of my rules is that I can't come home and hate how my home looks from the outside. I want to have pride in my home, not be embarrassed by it.

It’s funny for the location, the price and the design. It looks like a small town lawyer’s office. Just needs the shingle ‘Smith, Turner and Cooper At Law’ out front.

Oh my! That is a lot of house for the price, and the location is great too. This is not going to be a typical American buyer here.

The neighborhood has all types of houses. Nothing wrong with that. But you’d be the baronial (McMansion) estate in the middle of lower middle class folks. Some would be uncomfortable being that owner.

That's a great walkable part of downtown Silver Spring. But $1.3M is Bethesda prices not Silver Spring.

The next door neighbor sold for $790K.

People, what’s the deal with this house? My wife and I have been looking in a few places, including DTSS, and saw this house pop up a few weeks ago. It’s way too big for us and the front elevation is not attractive, but there is a lot to like about the interior and the outdoor space. I would be embarrassed to tell people I live in this house but also it’s magnificent. You’re telling me there’s no one who will pay $1.35 million for this thing?
