The frozen chocolate or almond croissants from Trader Joe’s are nice for breakfast. You let them rise overnight before baking. Pinch the almond ones together so less of the almond filling oozes out.

This sounds and looks really good! I'd be tempted to serve with fresh blueberries and some lemon curd.

This loaf cake is SO good! It's one of those things you could sneak in at breakfast or have at dessert time alone. Super easy to make.

Ha, I was just perusing the SK website too! I'm not sure MIL would be up for rhubarb, but I'll check those recipes out for us.

I'm thinking these look good for breakfast. Maybe with eggs and fruit?

MIL is coming... but right now we have workers all over our house kicking up dust and we are not unpacked... I don't have my mixer or any other "gadgets." Kitchen is sometimes available, sometimes not.

Any ideas for a really nice dessert or breakfast treat that doesn't take a lot of equipment or time, but doesn't taste artificial (so no Cool Whip, for example)?
