My husband of almost 10 years still raves about the first Christmas we were together (about 2 months) and I gave him a fabulous batch of cookies to take home with him. If you have skills, show them off! I love baking. It brings me joy and it's still a part of our lives as I'm now baking with my husband and our kids!

He didn’t like it? What did he say to you?

If you like baking I don't see the issue with an occasional surprise

Did this in 1963 - very trite, chocolate chip cookies. Still married.

I think baking for a guy you’re interested in is a little questionable. But for a guy you’re dating? Fine.

You’ve been dating for 3 months. Why wouldn’t you do nice things for each other?

Yes, make the brownies. It’s a sweet gesture. Just make sure they are really good. No pressure.

I would bake for myself and offer him one. I think baking “for him” or making a batch to give him is too early-1960s Seventeen.

As a guy, I think it can be a powerful gesture to cook or bake for someone. It is personal, reflecting your skills, tastes, and a desire to do something pleasing which requires planning and effort and maybe even a bit of risk. I'd be very appreciative of someone choosing to do such a thing.

Of course we would like that. It’s one of things that we would consider when we date for marriage, not with FWB, not with casual sex partners.
You can bake and be sexy in bed..not mutually exclusive. Look and sex generally come first for men but a partner who cooks well is big plus..

Yes. I like when women make me food.

The book is stupid.

My new lover bakes for me and loves it when I make something for him in return.
