Our school says every kid gets screened for principal placement so no request is needed. If you applied for Level IV they know you're interested.

This is typically a no. There was one instance that I can think of years ago where there were not enough students in a classroom to “keep” the teacher/class so they pulled a few kids. This was determined a few days before school started.

During the presentation at our center, the principal had lack of principal placed kids as one of the differences between LLIV and center

Wait until August 19. That is when they take these requests.

Our principal says that the look for kids who could benefit the most from the curriculum and not necessarily level III or just missed level IV kids.

What were the gbsr and test scores?

You contact the AART and the Principal and let them know you are interested. They will make a decision at some point in time, each school seems to have different time lines.

Does anyone have experience about requesting a Principal Placement in a Level IV class after not getting accepted in the program? We would like our DD to be PP in Level IV but because she didn't get accepted we aren't sure how to make this request. Do we ask now or wait until the end of the year? Her GBRS scores weren't great but she did get positive commentary.
