PP and I have a *male* colleague, probably 50, who is Shannon. He has a permanent banner under his name that states Mr. Shannon Smith, just like may have gone to including pronouns on emails. Still causes mistakes and confusion and surprises.

We have a Campbell on our family and HE is now 22. Just a few years after he was born, it went mostly all girl-still fairly unusual, but watch for trends like this with unisex names.

I have friends from high school who gave their DC their maiden sit names as first names; Jordan, Chase (both boys) and another with maiden name Evans named her DD Evan (only child).

I still think the name Kelly for a male is so handsome, but like the name in my first example, is solidly girl now.

Ugh. Really bad idea. Why would you saddle a child with this?

I will always love that name for either a boy or girl. DH nixed it.

Taylor (maybe now it’s considered a girl name but it used to be both)
Ryan (used to be more a boy name but now I hear it for both)

Brady sounds like a surname to me. I'd lump surnames that are used as first names in a different category than unisex first names.

Leslie
Francis/Frances

I love Adrian and spelled Adrian for a boy or girl.

Robin is a good one. I don't really like Brady for a girl.

Parker?

Ellis. My maiden name. I was determined to name my baby Ellis whether it was a girl or boy. It’s a girl.

My sister just found out she’s pregnant and is going to name the baby Brady, our mother’s maiden name, regardless of whether it’s a boy or a girl. I kinda like the concept. The only other unisex name I can think of that I like is Robin.

What are some others?
