I know right now you are thinking about elementary, but if you are looking ahead to high school-one thing to note is that in Prince William county schools students can attend a high school they are not zoned for if they attend a "specialty program." So if your house is zoned for Patriot, but your student is an excellent music student and wants to attend Colgan, they can audition for that specialty program and attend Colgan full time. There are satellite bus stops at the elementary schools for transportation. Many of the students I know attend a high school they are not specifically zoned for.
Oh thank you! I wasn't aware of this - we currently live in Fairfax County, which has its own confusion with the various AAP centers and IB vs AP, etc., so I will be learning a whole new school system if we move further out!

Thank you, no, we're not tied to that area, we just happened to see a few houses in Braemar that looked nice online. We're not looking now, we're just casually looking to get an idea of neighborhoods to target next year, so thank you very much for recommending your neighborhood!!

Sorry you're not getting any responses. I live in Bristow, but in a neighborhood zoned for a different elementary school (Victory.) Are you 100% committed to a specific home or neighborhood zoned for Cedar Point?
My kids are too old for elementary now but we LOVED the principal at Victory.

Starting to consider moving out to Bristow - would love some feedback on Cedar Point Elementary. Academics, diversity, support for kids behind in subjects (but that do not have learning disabilities), etc. Thx!
