This is a good book if you want to learn more about perimenopause.

It’s an issue with ADHD but I don’t think it wound arise in one’s 40s.

This might also be stress or latent depression.

Preoccupied maybe, in addition to perimenopause? I used to be an editor, but for the past year can't proof my own writing even if I go back over it twice with what I'd normally consider a fine-toothed comb. I'll reread an email after sending and it is utter nonsense.

This has been prime symptom of my ADHD which I've had since childhood. I could never write sentence of more than 8 words without skipping a word.

Ugh see? Another typo. Grrr although I am typing on my phone so I blame the phone. Haha

I've experienced this periodically over the years. I chalked it up to fatigue, multitasking, and stress. Also, I think the "insert" key on the keyboard can cause unforced errors.

If you are female and a little over 40 or so... definitely perimenopause. So sorry.

How does this relate to it though? I'm sincerely asking in case comes across otherwise. I hate how often I do this now. Well into my 40s.

Perimenopause. One more way being a woman sucks. Your body literally wants you to get stupider as you age.

NP. Both apply to me and I'm chalking it up to getting old. Often use the wrong word, their vs there, where vs were. Grammar spell check doesn't always pick it up. Now I'm worried about looking stupid I keep re-reading and re-writing.

I have noticed this more lately for me too. Missing words, and sometimes just randomly the wrong word. We are all stressed and overwhelmed.

I have been noticing more and more lately that when I am typing, I'm leaving out words and skipping words. Simple words like "to" "not" "and," etc. and then I go back and reread what I wrote and notice the typos. It's becoming more frequent. I know I'm probably rushing and moving quickly, but I didn't use to leave out words. Is it a form of ADHD (which I suspect I do have as an adult--both my kids have ADHD), or a brain tumor, an eye issue (I wear glasses)? It's freaking me out. Does anyone else have this problem? Maybe I just need to slow down and of course proofread, but there isn't always time for that.
