Agree it depends on what you consider fun.
There is a food court and many restaurants at the Columbia Town Center including a Main Event for the kids. There are restaurants on Snowden River Parkway (just off I-95) that are close to Skyzone, Launch, NinjaBe. There are restaurants on US-1 in Laurel near the UrbanAir and ClimbZone.
You can go to Arundel Mills Mall in Hanover and go to Medieval Times.
There's a Buffalo Wild Wings in Laurel Town Center that has many screens all around and tables with games (for a fee) on every table.
So, it depends on what type of "fun" you are looking for.

What is your definition of fun?
What type of food?
You could do something in Columbia or Maple Lawn.

Meeting a friend tomorrow for dinner. She lives in Baltimore; I live in Bethesda. I will have two kids (elementary and middle) with me. Are there any places between us (fine if almost to Baltimore or almost to Bethesda) that would be fun?
