Useful for what? What are you hauling around every day that demands a pick up truck?

haha that pretty much sums up my husband. This is OP. He needs a larger car (currently drives a small BMW) because he can't fit all 3 kids in his car. Figured if he was going to get something bigger it would be nice to have a pick up truck back to throw flowers, mulch, bikes, sports equipment, etc when we need to. Already have a mini-van for longer road trips.


Ridgeline are not kid haulers. Two adults in the from and three kids in the back would be tighter than a 3 row SUV. They're great for home depot and equipment, but not as good as an old minivan with the seats down


OP here - sorry to clarify DH would only be driving 3 kids on occasion and within 10 mile radius. So comfort isn't a HUGE issue.

They're also making trucks with 4 cyls now. The Ford F150's are also made in 6cyls with a turbo for extra power. A big truck is not necessarily a gas guzzler these days.

My dad loves his Ridgeline, and it’s the only pickup truck anyone in our family has ever owned. It’s for his bikes and kayaks and occasional landscaping stuff.

It’s not a traditional truck. It’s not body-on-frame. It’s unibody, like a car, so it drives like a crossover, like a Pilot.
