OP, sorry the transition to big sibling is rough. I delivered at Virginia Hospital Center and they offered a short sibling class and tour of the hospital. See if your local hospital offers something similar. Does your older one have a doll/baby of their own to take care of? If you haven’t already, a ‘gift’ to older sibling from the baby can also help the relationship. Also, be sure to spend time with your older one. Often we tell the older one to wait or be patient while you’re busy doing something for the baby (feeding, changing, rocking). Turn that around (when appropriate), and tell the baby to ‘wait a minute’ while you finish something with your older one. The baby doesn’t know, but those words will go a long way for your older child and make them feel equally loved.

anyone know of any places that are offering big sibling classes (ideally in person) -- just had a new baby and it is ...not going well with the toddler. a friend suggested one of these classes might help DS adjust to his role as big brother.
