Go other Carmax. Carvana offered us 8K more than Carmax. It’s so much easier bc they come to you.

Dealers don’t offer extended warranties. They sell them!

If you are only offering $1K off a $40K car that simply isn't worth the hassle for most people.

Good idea! Especially because I live in a high end area. The car is in the 40ishK price point. My husband said that is why I’m not having luck because most people need financing in that price range.

Oh yes, I agree w/your husband on this.

Most people cannot afford to pay ca$h on a car worth $40G.

Look and see how much people are getting for it on line and decide if the extra is worth it. I think people pay more to buy it from a dealer rather than a guy meeting them at a lot.

I got an offer from carmax already. It was decent but like I said I would love to make an extra 6k selling it privately.

I’ve listed my mothers vehicle because she can no longer drive. I know i can sell it to carvana or carmax but I don’t work and have lots of time on my hands. Plus I want to get the most money possible for her very expensive cost of care. I know used cars are really a hot commodity right now and I listed the car for $1000 less than EVERY comparable car I’ve seen online. It’s been a few weeks and so far I’ve been getting mostly lowball offers from used car salesmen! Not one person has contacted me looking for this car for themselves. They try and pretend they want the car for themselves but it’s so easy to google them and find out the truth. People are so shady.
