Yep I did! Tried to put as much in there as possible. I was hoping to go to the meeting though. Figured they would provide more insight on the selection process.

Some of the parents really are a negative at ATS. They are the worst of the AEM/screaming at school board crowd

I’ve heard that she wanted to be principal of ATS but Hawthorne wasn’t sure she was ready to retire.

Fwiw, my home school had a reading carnival like event and international night, it’s not like those things are novel in APS

They sent out a survey where you can express your most desired qualities and there is a meeting with Dashawn Turner and Kim Graves for the same purpose.

How do you think it will change the school?

I fear somebody will come in who doesn't value the double-down on literacy or insisting that not only every child learn to read but that they can do so well into the SOL pass range. Or somebody who doesn't value some of the school traditions like the reading carnival, or the international night or the real no-bullying.
