$20-50 for fruit/veg depending on the season (I’ll spend $30 on peaches alone in August because I buy a bushel of seconds to can); $20-100 if I stop at the butcher’s depending on what I need.

Where do you live that your farmers market has blueberries and apricots and avocados in May?

Wish people would realize the vendors buy stuff from wholesalers and even grocery stores. It's largely a scam.

This. Now I’d spend a ton if they had real jersey tomatoes, but in may, I know they aren’t coming from the ground around here.

Where I live the markets have everything! Small batch local wine and liquor producers (moonshine cocktails, etc), gourmet oils and vinegars, pre-prepared salsas and perogies and frozen pies and curries, etc. in addition to fruit and veg and meat. i find it hard to leave without spending $50-75 but I don’t go weekly

Don’t know where you live but farmers markets are prohibitively expensive in my area.

$50-$60 in the summer and early fall. Vegetarian and get all my produce plus eggs there.

It depends on the season. During the hardcore winter months, I spend mothing. During stone fruit and berry season I can easily spend $50.

At the peak of summer, usually $50-100. Shoulder seasons, maybe $25-50.

Lots of fruit and vegetables, some dairy/cheese/eggs, some prepared foods.

About $50+ a week in summer because we buy a ton of fruit. A lot more than that if we don't grow our own tomatoes and decide to make a lot of sauce to can. Even more if we are entertaining and buy meats and fancy cheeses. Otherwise we eat mostly vegetarian.

It's generally more expensive than what similar named items would cost at the grocery store, but so much better quality and I feel good supporting small farms. I can't eat grocery store tomatoes or strawberries. No flavor. No comparison to the real seasonal local food.

My market has a butcher, and I usually spend about $25 with them. I also pick up veg, eggs and fresh bread from various vendors and I probably spend another $20-40 depending on what I get.

Around $25. I get mostly vegetables, cheese, and sometimes meat or prepared foods. I go to the markets in Kensington and Kentlands.

Today I bought one loaf of bread (sourdough with artichoke/swiss cheese/herbs), 2 garlic heads w/greens, 2 huge broccoli heads, 1 bunch of asparagus. That was $24 and change. I try to buy a bit from each vendor, spreading the wealth.
