He had a great life & was fortunate to live so long.
He ended up succumbing to kidney disease.
I am very very sad + am in a lot of emotional pain now.
I had to put down another cat at around the same time last year.
I was working at that time and while I took off the next two days of work to mourn, at the time I had wished I could have stayed home longer to grieve my loss.
This time around, I did in fact take this entire week off and it has been rough as well just staying in.
I am constantly thinking about my fur baby.
My question is this:
What helped you cope w/a loss of a pet the best?
Staying busy and sticking to your regular routines?
Or taking a break and just staying home and allowing yourself enough time to properly grieve??
Thx so much.
