Second - Gonzaga’s facilities are in constant use by its multiple sports teams. As they should be.

The National Mall is a beautiful place to walk and is always open to all, blocks away from the school. There is really not a pressing need in that neighborhood for a “car free” area to exercise as it already exists for all to enjoy.

Landon is a very different campus from Landon. Soup Kitchen is more warranted at one, track for community walkers at the other.

Landon’s school grounds are open to the public.

GZ has a soup kitchen but you can’t use our track?

I never knew that.

Same neighborhood, the SSSAS track is generally open to the public. That school keeping it's campus open during Covid was a significant gift for many.

Gonzaga is in a part of town that necessitates a locked gate around the property. Allowing the public on their grounds is risky considering the level of crime in that part of town.

Actually Episcopal HS was to have a public track—it was part of the reason they got permission to build it. Of course now there’s a “Covid” excuse to keep everyone locked out. But there can be neighborhood requirements to open up a track.

No. Were the 24-hour locked gates not a hint? Seriously the National Mall is two blocks away.

Does anyone know if the track is public? I live in the area and wanted to walk the track.
