Students have been the losers in MCPS for the past decade. Poor leadership, an overly large school district and corruption have all combined to result in a rapid decline.

Meanwhile, there are 14 COVID cases at our elementary school, and because MCPS isn’t doing contact tracing anymore, we have no idea if these cases are in our daughter’s classroom. Where masking is now optional. :primal scream:

They just renamed a couple of those...

It'll be interesting to see the HR appointments at next Tuesday's BOE meeting. There'll probably be a long list of people getting new titles.

Everything old is new again. Dr. McKnight was herself once the deputy superintendent, Dr. Zuckerman was the chief operating officer, and Dr. Navarro was the chief academic officer. Those three positions were eliminated during the last restructuring.

It looks like they're renaming Chief of Teaching, Learning and Schools to Chief of School Support and Well-being, and the associate superintendents and directors likewise.
