We started at GS for pre-k 3 and it’s going really well so far. Is anyone planning to have their child wear a mask beyond this first week? I imagine it will be tough for teachers to implement masking for some students while other may not wear them, based on parents wishes. Curious to see how others are going to approach this.

I don't think any schools have made commitments about this for next year.

Has anyone announced that yet?

No idea but that’s why I’m asking.

Global citizens has done a awesome job keeping our kids safe with Covid. Kids and staff are required to test weekly. I don’t foresee them removing the mask policy in the fall. So far we haven’t had to go to virtual learning due to any Covid outbreaks.

While I support following the public health agencies on this topic, I appreciate how straightforward opponents of that are about how, no really, we mean to do this forever. It's the people who think we shouldn't be masking but it's nbd because it's just two more weeks or a month or surely we'll end by next year who I wish would pay attention to this. This is not just going to end because it's dumb.
