I usually like larger noses on men. Men with really nice noses according to “western Caucasian” beauty standards just don’t do it for me (e.g. Ben Affleck and Josh Duhamel).

Instead, it's a man, and you are calling him vain and selfish for not telling you, who he is not even dating. Grow up, OP.

You are right. But women are expected to be a bit vain and value their preceived attractiveness. No one wants to date a vain man though.

A nose job is the one surgery I would agree (and pay for ) on a young adult. Some people are profoundly bothered by their nose size and/or shape. A nose job isn’t like other plastic surgery. Let it go.

I had a nose job at age 19. It was life changing. If you no longer find him attractive, stop wasting his time. This is your issue in your head. Whether done for purely cosmetic or for health reasons like a deviated septum, there is nothing wrong with getting a nose job. It's a very safe procedure with essentially no downsides. And as a bonus, it filters judgy people out from your life.

Maybe he needed the surgery to help him breathe better (deviated septum) and he decided to tweak his nose while he was at it. My SIL did the same thing. Don’t judge him harshly. Wouldn’t you take an opportunity to improve your body if you were having surgery anyway?

Whatever you do, please don’t tell him (or anyone who could repeat it to him) that you don’t find him attractive anymore.

Ok glad it's not just me. It's also bothering me that he didn't tell me about it. I know we're not dating,. But we talk all the time and I would tell him if I was going to get surgery.

Double standard here but a man who gets a nose job is too vain for me.

If you aren’t interested in a long distance relationship, why do you care?

Not wrong. I’d feel the same way. I’ve never heard of a guy getting a nose job.

So I've been talking to this guy for a few months we aren't official or anything basically just have shared interests, good conversation and crushes on each othe etc. It hasn't gone further because neither of us are interested in long distance.

Anyway he recently had a nose job. His original nose was large, but it suited his face .

His new nose is more streamlined with a pointy tip. It doesn't look bad, but I found him so much more attractive before.

I'm also a little put off by the whole plastic surgery thing. Is this wrong of me?

I haven't communicated any of this to him.
