No. Fairly normal EC like Eagle Scout, Varsity 3 season sports, state orchestra, hackathons. And started a successful business.

This is what we’ve come to, where these ECs are considered fairly normal.

PP here to clarify, 40K per year.

Case gives alot of merit (most given this year was 40,500/year, but sticker price this year is 82K)

Check out the Case admissions posts on college confidential to see stats of the kids and what merit they got

DS received 40k merit this cycle applying EA. 4.4 Weighted, 12APS. Neuroscience.

My DS got in last year with a $20K per year merit scholarship.

We do not qualify for financial aid but wondering if they will provide merit award for high stat DC. She is applying this fall and Case is one of her top choice at the moment.
