It was largely due to nostalgic items (books, photos, artwork) and some furniture. I'm glad we did it, even though it didn't make a lot of financial sense. But, I'm glad we didn't start 100% over, as our home feels more like a "home" having items from our last "home". We also have young kids, so it was easier to move our stuff (logistically) as getting rid of things and buying them again takes a lot of time.
