Thanks!
Definitely tell her to pack lunch. Even if one item is gluten free at a food truck the possibility of cross contamination would be particularly high from a food truck.

+1 Celiac here...In a pinch, I'll get a banana or apple, chips, nuts and/or a candy bar from a street vendor. Not the healthiest lunch but better than risking getting glutened.

My child always packed a lunch.

The Corn Factory is a gluten free food truck in DC.

This.

And honestly the food truck can't even do non gluten free stuff well. So my expectations would be non existent.

We didn't need to eat at the time but a month ago, I did see 2-3 South Asian cuisine food trucks at the mall. Most of the chickpea and lentils dishes are gluten. Get it over rice and not pita. Don't remember the name. There are also a a few taco trucks and the person said the shells were made of corn. Or get it without the shells.
Search for food truck in Washington DC mall. I am sure something will popup.

Pack some good granola bars and snacks.
