You might want to try searching Audible for particular narrators you've enjoyed. Julia Whelen is one of my favorites. I liked Cleo McDougal Regrets Nothing (a little like Where'd You Go Bernadette, but not quite as zany).

Daisy Jones and the Six is also excellent on audio, and Julia Whelen is one of the readers. But it flips back and forth between different characters' perspectives, which might be a little tricky if you're sleep deprived. Same with Malibu Rising, which toggles between present and past. But also good on audio. Good luck and get well soon!

I LOVED the audible version of Daisy Jones and the Six. It was available at the library.

Yes! I was going to recommend exactly this. Kate quinn has awesome books. Even when Saskia does English accents, it is not difficult to understand. Very enjoyable.

Audible has Emma Thompson narrating pride and prejudice for free I think. Yes, it’s a British voice. That said, it helps me fall asleep because I know the story.

I watch a nature show or a historical documentary on TV and the narration puts me to sleep quickly. David Attenborough for sure.

I listen to the Story of Human Language on Audible when I want to sleep well. It is a Great Courses book and I've learned quite a bit and slept very well in between.

One to Watch, by Kate Stayman-London (especially if you've ever watched The Bachlorette / Bachelor)

Anything by Emily Giffin, Jennifer Weiner, or Allison Winn Scotch (American chick lit, but not so formulaic)
