+1 to the experience or personalized gift. Maybe nice stemless wineglasses? At that age and for a second wedding, I think they should have not even put up a registry, assuming they are both sufficiently employed. People will gift if they want but I feel like having a registry sort of sets the expectation...

My family does registries for first weddings only. It is also seen as tacky after a certain age & HHI, at least in my circle, and extends to baby showers as well although there is always a party, it is not gift-centered at all. There is a small one we made for immediate family but did not share unless someone insisted.

Can you give an experience gift like cooking lessons, wine and paint night, etc or maybe a personalized gift like something with their new initials on it ? Customized cutting board, etc? If you don’t want to do any of that, I’d just donate $100 to the honeymoon and be done

None of these details really matter, just give what you normally would. Or don’t. It doesn’t matter.

DH is the best man at a small weeding this summer. DH and groom were good friends in HS but have not seen each other in several years (yes, it is odd that he was asked to be BM, but that is for a different thread), and we have never met the bride. It is a location wedding so we'll be flying in, renting a car, getting a hotel room. Second wedding for both, they are in their mid 30s and both have successful careers. Their only 'registry' is one of those 'help us pay for our honeymoon' sites. Honestly, I'm really turned off by the whole situation, but not giving a gift seems tasteless (even though I think their 'registry' is a bit tasteless). What would you give?
