Don't bother with stride rite, the Velcro failed on ours 2 months in and they were so so ratty. Called the shoe train owner ( where we got fitted and purchased) and he said.... Oh that's normal, the avg life of a kids shoe is only 2-3 months.

We get keens sneakers in the fall winter and wear the sandals in the spring summer. They last thru at least 2 kids and my kids exclusively wear these shoes rough and hard. They are no more expensive than stride rites.

We moved from DC to Nova and still drive to Ramers... I don't think there is a place as good in Nova

OP here. You clearly don’t have a child with challenging foot size. I do. I wish it were as easy as it is for you, but we need measuring.

How would you know if there were an issue?

I've tried your way during the first year of covid and miraculously failed 3 kids. Js.

My child is 6 and I’ve never had her feet measured. When buying shoes I start with size up from where she was the last time I bought shoes and go from there. I almost exclusively order online (always somewhere that has easy returns) and never had an issue.

I used to depend upon stride Rite to measure my son’s feet, which are on the border of wide. Where do you go to get kid feet measured for shoes?
