It was meant as humor. Right now, end of April, you are too late to seed. You can start weed treatment but you already missed early spring application. That's why Chesapeake folks told you to wait a year. Usually it takes 2-3 years go get your lawn healthy.
It’s not too late to seed in April and it could grow in a few weeks if watered. That landscaping company was wrong.
