Mine is pretty effective. Leaves a bit of ash at the end that you can wipe out.
It also doesn't seem to do much on the oven window. Easy Off is great for that part.

Easy off. Yes it smells terrible and must be horrific for
Your lungs. I only use it in summer with the doors
And windows wide open.
Not OP by oven’s self self clean function doesn’t work.
Something to do with the cabinets around the oven. It makes the self cleaning malfunction

Go Clean Co. (IG and their website) has a great tutorial and videos on cleaning ovens.

You need something much more potent that soapy water.
Copper wool and very hot water and lots of effort will also work (eventually) but I would try the self clean function first.

Don't be afraid to use the self cleaning option. It doesn't use much power and it will clean very well. But if you don't want to Easy Off no fumes works.

I don’t want to use the oven’s self clean mechanism. I just want to clean broil - splatters off the bottom of the oven and glass window on the door. I have tried dishsoap and warm water and the tacky-residue isn’t budging. I’d appreciate suggestions on how to clean this. Thanks!
