People who are over 8 years old and don;t participate at all in food preparation don't get to complaint about the food. It's really that simple.

I do most of our cooking as well. If my DH said that to me (and sometimes he does complain) I tell him to shut the F up or he can cook for himself. I HATE knowing that I have to cook for my family EVERY DAY FOR ETERNITY. I would prefer to eat the same thing every day, which I used to do before when I was single.

He's a grown ass man and can learn to plan and cook himself.
There are any number of cookbooks, wesites, etc for this kind of thing.

Eh, I am bored with the food choices myself, so tired of figuring it all out with kids and being home always. He has no right to complain if he won't give any inputs, though. Make him help more.

If DH complained to me, I'd tell him to come up with something since he can cook. Even if he couldn't cook, I'd then tell him to learn.

Op's DH sounds childish. This is something my kids do... complain and grumble without making a plan to do anything about it.

Nothing makes me more mad than my husband when I ask him what he wants to the eat for the week and he says
“ I don’t know”, but then grumbles when I cook something. If he isn’t suggesting, then he has no say in what you cook.

I’m the main cook in the family and do majority of the meal planning and grocery shopping. We have a couple of selections that we rotate throughout the week for breakfast, lunch, and snacks. There is more variety with dinner but we still have some we rotate through depending on the week. I’m not the greatest cook but my husband can’t cook. My husband has been complaining lately that he is bored with the food choices but offers no suggestions. I have offered for him to look things up or come to the store with me but nothing. He complains he is tired of the same stuff and that he never gets cooked lunches. I’m getting so annoyed with him.
