Wrong. Back pain, hunched over causes postural issues that can lead to much, much worse. I had a reduction at 18 (late 50s now), and it was one of the best decisions I've ever made. Covered by insurance, as will her DDs

A teenager having back issues due to large breast and require breast reduction surgery? Good luck selling that to insurance company.

OP - you need to find a doctor who is willing to diagnosis her with back issues. Insurance will review your paper very carefully by the way.

Two of my relatives had this surgery covered because of serious back issues. It was life changongm

The back issues need to be the reason, OPs complaints are all cosmetic.

No, but a word of caution -- "doing the research" isn't the same thing as "pre-authorization." So she probably wants to confirm it will be covered rather than just "doing the research" by reading the policy.

You might post in the Health and Medicine forum for recs. Doctors who specialize in breast reconstruction after cancer might be your best bet as those procedures are covered by insurance. They often do reductions on one side to match a reconstructed breast and are sensitive to underlying medical issues.
