You dont' have ethe man the grill all night. Grill the entire batch at once, once everyone arrives. Then grill gets shut off.

Also use good burgers if you can, made from _fresh_ ground beef.

Buy a high fat ground beef. BJs has a roll that is 73/27, but don’t go lower than 80/20.

Grill them to medium (no more than medium well) and aim to have them ready just as the party is starting. Grill, stack them in your warmer (no buns) and they will be fine the duration of the party. Or at least while you are serving food.

This weekend, do the burger test for your family. Grill an hour or so prior to your planned dinner and serve the warmed burgers. I would keep the burgers separate from the buns. Serve them for dinner and ask your family for a honest critique.

Our graduate wants burgers served as his graduation party, but I don't want my husband or myself to have to man the grill all night.

Wondering if anyone has:

- recommendations for catered burgers - do they wrap them in foil and how long do they stay good for? I do have an electric warming thing that I could put them in.

- have you ever grilled burgers, wrapped them in foil, and then put them in a warmer -- how do those hold up?

We are probably talking only 20-25 burgers, but I'd like them to be available for people to eat anytime during the party.
