Are you hermits?

Your home life must be pretty bad.

Either is fine. Regardless, plan for your child to bring home covid so you may want to save the tests.

Tomorrow morning though it’s probably still too soon.

tomorrow morning. we did everyday for the past three days after an exposure and got a positive for our whole family on the third day of testing.

+1 It takes a few days for your viral load to build up after exposure for the at home rapid tests to detect COVID. MCPS request for everyone to test today (Monday) will miss many COVID cases if spread occurred at religious services and family gatherings on Sunday.

Tomorrow is ideal-- pretty much regardless of your exposure timing, it's most accurate to test as close as possible to the activity (school) in question. But I understand doing it tonight to make plans for staying home/childcare if it's positive.

Today is fine!

I just hope that there is not a huge teacher shortage following this test like there was following winter break.

If you got together on Sunday with other people, even non-household family, I’d wait until tomorrow morning.

That’s still pretty soon after a possible exposure, but it will at least increase the likelihood of having a high enough viral load to be detected if the child is infected. Otherwise, today should be fine.

Rapid testing.
