When is the last time you have seen tuxedos an gowns at a restaurant that is not a wedding reception.

Uh, the last time I saw teens go to prom!! They won't be out of place anywhere when they're all together; everyone will know they're at prom.

All of these are good. I'd add JGilberts. Definitely this level and absolutely not Cap Grill or Mortons or $$$$.

Haha, NP and I was literally just thinking "Olive Garden!" It was fancy to me at that stage in my life, for sure. All those wine bottles, LOL.

I was thinking 2941 but they have a private event this day.

Do most teenagers eat lamb and duck? Back in the 1990s we went to Denny’s.

Yeah, agree that most teenagers will want something a little more Denny's than 2941. How many people total? I don't think you have to worry about them looking out of place -everyone will know they're there from prom and be delighted to see them!

Do you care if there is an outdoor dining option or is all indoor ok? A few ideas that are not 2941 cuisine and price:

- Liberty Tavern in Arlington
- Sfizi in Falls Church
- Founding Farmers, Tysons
- Fogo de Chao, Tysons
- Magliano's in Tysons (though I always worry about pasta and formal attire!)
- someplace in Mosaic -- Matchbox, True Food, Alta Strada
- J Gilbert's in McLean -- old school steakhouse
