They are vastly different than Chuck in a Truck who has a good buddy and a chain saw or two. Davey cut down some hundred foot tall pines that overlooked several neighbors' homes. Way beyond Chuck's capacity at any price.

Cheapest often is not often the best. One pays for Expertise, Experience and having every last piece of gear relevant to the industry.

Are there any of them who specialize in removing invasive vines from trees, especially those that are tangling the upper branches of the younger trees? I think I need a vine removal service, but it looks like it's a widespread issue in DC metro and might be covered under the county mitigation?

+1 to Bartlett. They'll give you a lot of evaluation for free. Services are not cheap, but they're very good on communication and followup. If you have a property with trees, it makes sense to make friends with your Bartlett specialist.

Bartlett is popular in Kensington, and has a very good reputation but in my experience they're expensive. They'll come out and give you an estimate though.
