6 weeks is the literal worst. I have a 9 week old (my second kid) and the entire week 6 my husband and I just kept repeating to ourselves this the absolute peak worst, it will end. I still cried some nights trying to console her through the witching hour. Even at just 9 weeks things are somewhat improved.

6 weeks is the worst! Fatigue sets in and everything feels crazy.

My main mantra with parenting is - it's just phase, it will pass. And everything does. It will change soon enough OP.

Good luck. Reach out to family/friends for support.

A few more weeks. Those first 2 months were awful.

Yes, first six weeks are the worst. Social smiles are super close and they help a lot.

Oh goodness yes! That's probably the hardest week based on age.

It will get so much better.

It gets better. My little one is now 4 months and the difference between now and two months ago is astronomical. You got this, OP.

It gets better. You are just at the far edge of the worst, most physically demanding and exhausting part. It will get exponentially better in the next few months. Hang in there.

It gets better. Hang in there OP. For many of us it’s a very tough stage.

It’s pretty widely acknowledged that 6 weeks is “peak fussiness.” Hang in there!

Better in some ways, worse in others. Welcome to motherhood!

We stopped at two kids because I think one more newborn stage would have broken me.

Our youngest had severe colic and absolutely refused a bottle, cup, syringe, spoon, anything for her entire first year. She was my literal ball and chain. It was the hardest year of my life.

Now she's a happy easy going 18 month old and I honestly feel like those days were so long ago.

So much better. I used to love newborns until I had one. Now I’ve had two and I hate that age with a fiery passion. If I could give birth to a four month old I’d probably have four kids. As it stands, we’re trying to figure out if we can stomach going through that again for a third.

So. Much. Better. 4-6 weeks was the worst phase of new parenthood for me by far. It slowly but surely gets better and better.
