Brambleton parents fought hard for the Indy district to be drawn in ways that favored them. As a result, Indy is now overcrowded in its 3rd year (as is its feeder middle, Brambleton) and Rock Ridge is half empty. The boundaries for the RR district largely isolated the neighborhoods along Loudoun County Parkway and Loudoun Valley estates to feed into Rosa Lee/Rr pyramid. I am assuming that this is to address that in some way.

Do the districts matter for anything other than school board elections?
I think the effect will be to make it easier for a Republican to get elected from the Sterling district. Dulles is currently represented by Jeff Morse.

More background and information is available via this hyperlink:https://loudoun.granicus.com/MetaViewer.php?view_id=86&event_id=3366&meta_id=209149

Can anyone offer insights on how this may affect the schools? Hoping to gain some perspective on the "upside" and "downside" to this move.
