Okay, so these are not glass but they are super cool. I was looking at Home & Design today and saw this use of round door knobs. Look up at the very top of the built in. Those round knobs are wooden dresser knobs painted in the same color as the woodwork.

Love them. I have a Victorian and hope to put them in some day. I grew up in an old house that had them.

I prefer the smooth round ones not the cut glass ones.

I love them. And while you're right about the timing, it isn't like as soon as the year count passed 19xx that everyone ran around replacing their glass doorknobs with something different. You lived with what you had. Same here. Wash them up so they're clear, bright and shiny, and love them!

Is is it a Victorian or a Colonial built in 1951? If so yes! If it’s a modern house I think you could do round glass.
