There is an express CTA bus from the loop or you can take the metra and see the Museum of Science and Industry from the stop. I agree on staying near the loop.

We stayed at the Hilton Chicago and it was an easy quick Uber to all those and walkable to Millennium Park, Cloud Gate, State St.

We'd probably look to stay in an Airbnb, but we're also open to hotels.

I've never been to Chicago but we're hoping to plan a trip with our tween including visits to the Field Museum, Art Institute, and Museum of Science & Industry. What are some close, nice, and safe neighborhoods that would be convenient for a trip like this? Thanks!
